Position Summary: This position is responsible for the patient interview obtaining history and assisting with the examination. Assists the Physician by administering patient care as directed, and assists with office procedures including patient preparation. Performs special testing such as lensometry, auto refraction, keratometry, performs screening and threshold visual field testing with automated perimeter, performs A-scan biometry for intraocular lens calculations; provides information to patients regarding the care and handling of soft and hard contact lenses; assists physician in the fitting of contact lenses. Also, inspects equipment to ensure proper working order.
