Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. We are looking for a kind, dependable caregiver for a friendly 25-year-old young man. The position includes assisting with personal care, helping with breakfast, and providing companionship throughout the day. He enjoys sports, music, spending time on his phone, bowling, and going for walks around the complex. There's a gym and a pool in the community where he enjoys sitting. We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, patient, and enjoys social interaction while helping him stay comfortable, safe and engaged. This is an independent contract position and pays $16.00 per hour Schedule: Every other weekend Sat and Sun from 8am - 8pm You will be a good fit for this position if you: Have a positive outlook and contagious energy Demonstrate patience and compassion Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role: Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities Supporting with personal hygiene Meal/snack preparation and feeding assistance Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment Performing light housekeeping tasks Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization Complete daily progress notes Qualifications and Skills Valid driver’s license Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training. Have proof of a High School diploma or equivalent Are 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

The caregiver will assist with personal care, meal preparation, and provide companionship throughout the day. They will also encourage community involvement and ensure the individual's safety.
