Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. We’re seeking a caregiver to provide support to a 38-year-old man. He requires assistance with all ADL's. He enjoys games, coloring, fun activities but most importantly make sure he is safe at all times and creating a positive and enjoyable environment. This is an independent contract position and pays $15.25 per hour Schedule: Mon, Tues and Thurs from 2pm - 8pm, Fri from 2pm - 10pm and if possible, Sat from 11am - 11pm You will be a good fit for this position if you: Have a positive outlook and contagious energy Demonstrate patience and compassion Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role: Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities Supporting with personal hygiene Meal/snack preparation and feeding assistance Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment Performing light housekeeping tasks Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization Complete daily progress notes Qualifications and Skills Valid driver’s license Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training. Have a High School diploma or equivalent Are 18 years of age or older
Responsibilities
The caregiver will encourage and support the individual during home activities and assist with personal hygiene and meal preparation. Ensuring the individual's safety and facilitating community involvement are also key responsibilities.
