Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. We’re looking for a caring, dependable caregiver to support a friendly and kind 21-year-old young man. He needs support with ADL's He enjoys going for daily walks and loves having fun with magnets, blocks, books, shakers, and music. We’re looking for someone who’s patient, kind, and comfortable providing hands-on support. Most importantly, we want someone who’s reliable and genuinely enjoys connecting with others This is an independent contract position and pays $15.25 per hour Schedule: Mon and Thurs from 12pm - 4pm, Fri 3pm - 8pm and Sat from 7pm - 12pm (flexible) You will be a good fit for this position if you: Have a positive outlook and contagious energy Demonstrate patience and compassion Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role: Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities Assisting with personal hygiene tasks Meal preparation and light cleaning Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization Complete daily progress notes Qualifications and Skills Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening Provide 1 year of caregiving experience Have a High School diploma or equivalent Have a Valid Driver license Are 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

The caregiver will encourage and support the individual during home activities and assist with personal hygiene tasks. They will also facilitate community involvement and ensure the individual's safety.
