Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. We’re seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic caregiver to provide support to an 18-year-old young man. He requires assistance with his day-to-day routine and planning, and on occasional outings within the community. Engage with him in fun activities like music and gaming, creating a positive and enjoyable environment. This is an independent contract position and pays $15.00 per hour Schedule: Mon, Wed and Fri from 3pm- 7pm and Tues and Thurs from 3pm - 9pm. Occasional Sat or Sun as needed. You will be a good fit for this position if you: Have a positive outlook and contagious energy Demonstrate patience and compassion Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role: Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities Supporting with personal hygiene Meal/snack preparation and feeding assistance Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment Performing light housekeeping tasks Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization Complete daily progress notes Qualifications and Skills Valid driver’s license Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training. Have a High School diploma or equivalent Are 18 years of age or older
