Job Summary
The OPS Marketing & Digital Design Specialist supports the development and execution of strategic communication efforts to enhance student engagement and promote departmental initiatives. This role collaborates closely with staff to design, create, and implement visually compelling and informative digital and print materials. This role plays a key part in increasing the visibility and impact of departmental services, programs, and events to students, alumni, and families.
Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development of marketing and digital media for the various areas of Retention & Graduation Services.
  • Works with Retention & Graduation Services staff to create, design, and implement marketing concepts and campaign strategies to advance the priorities and goals of the department.
  • Creates engaging content and visual materials to increase visibility of department services, programming, important announcements, updates, and events.
  • Designs graphics, banners, and other visual elements for the department websites.
  • Creates templates for consistency across a variety of digital and print communication materials.
  • Assists with the development of communication campaigns from the Wings Up CRM platform.
  • Identifies new communication channels and new approaches to using existing communication channels to reach target audiences, including incoming and current students, alumni, and parents and families.
  • Provides creative input to improve the user experience of both department websites and communication channels.
  • Complies with university brand identification standards.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in software engineering, programming, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in software engineering, programming, computer science, or related field. Part-time/student employment experience is accepted.
  • Knowledge of or experience with programming languages, including C#, Java, and HTML code.
  • Knowledge of or experience with CRM systems.
  • Experience working in a college/university setting or in a student services area is preferred.
