REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in an optical setting is preferred but not mandatory; however, laboratory experience is highly desirable.
• Empathetic, Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using optical equipment and technology is beneficial but training will be provided for the right candidate. • Prepare patients’ details
• Conduct preliminary tests / use screening equipment- training provided (and it’s easy to use equipment)
• Maintain and organise shop floor/ laboratory equipment, ensuring all tools are clean and in good working order.
• Provide guidance to patients on eyewear options, including frames and lenses, based on their needs.
• Manage inventory of optical supplies and materials, placing orders as necessary.
• Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially in compliance with data protection regulations.
• Educate patients on proper care for their eyewear and contact lenses.
