Assists members in ordering glasses, fits glasses, places orders through our computer system. Stocks merchandise and supplies, cleans department.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Assists members in choosing frames and lens options appropriate to the lens prescription.
Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service.
Rings up orders and over-the-counter merchandise. Receives accurate payment, makes changes, processes cheques an debit charges according to proper procedures for paperwork, cash handling and performance of duties.
Fits and adjusts glasses to member.
Stocks merchandise and supplies. Follows department procedures and standards for production, record keeping, merchandising and product storage.
Cleans department by spraying, wiping and mopping.
Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
RATE OF PAY WILL BE SUBJECT TO EXPERIENCE
Required Skills, Abilities, and Certifications
Education / Training : GCSE standard or equivalent preferred
Licences / Certification: None
Experience: Optical experience essential
Knowledge / Skills: Computer, Maths and Customer Service Skills preferred
