Optical Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and assisting with various optical tasks in a dynamic environment.
Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting eyewear that suits their needs and style preferences
- Conduct preliminary testing using optical equipment
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Support optometrists and opticians in daily operations
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to optometry
- Experience in retail management or sales, particularly in the optical industry
- Knowledge of optical laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
- Strong background in retail sales with a focus on optical products
- Understanding of basic optical concepts and lens types
Requirements:
- minimum 6 months in the industry
- must provide references from optical industry
