About the Role:
Salmoni Opticians are looking for a full-time Optical Assistant to join us in delivering outstanding patient care.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the optical industry is preferred but not essential; full training will be given.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately measure and adjust frames.
• Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Perform thorough pre-screening examinations to accurately assess patients vision and eye health.
• Conduct comprehensive eyewear consultations with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
• Provide expert advice on lens options, including coatings, tints, and materials.
• Assist customers in selecting frames that suit their style, face shape, and prescription requirements.
• Accurately measure customers’ pupillary distance and ensure proper frame adjustments for a comfortable fit.
• Process orders and sales transactions.
