JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Optical Assistant / Receptionist to join our team. You’ll be the welcoming face of our practice, supporting both the front-of-house and optical teams to deliver outstanding patient care.

What you’ll be doing:

• Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone
• Booking and managing appointments using our practice systems
• Handling payments and processing transactions
• Assisting with frame selections and advising on lens options
• Supporting the optometrists and dispensing opticians with daily tasks
• Keeping reception and retail areas tidy and inviting

What we’re looking for:

• A warm, professional, and approachable manner
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work well as part of a busy team
• Previous optical or retail experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided
• Basic computer skills and confidence using booking systems

Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 25 per week
