JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with various optical tasks. This position involves working closely with both customers and optical professionals to ensure a seamless experience in our retail environment.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of optical products and services is preferred.
  • Experience in retail management or retail sales is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Epic or similar software systems for managing customer information is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory processes related to eyewear production is beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist customers in selecting eyewear and optical products that meet their needs.
  • Provide information on lens options, frame styles, and pricing to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
  • Assist in the fitting and adjustment of eyewear to ensure proper comfort and alignment.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing display of optical merchandise.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using retail management software.
  • Collaborate with laboratory technicians to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients regarding their optical needs.
  • Support the team in maintaining inventory levels and placing orders as necessary.
