Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the optometrist and ensuring smooth operations within the optical department.
Duties:
- Assist optometrist with eye examinations and contact lens fittings
- Prepare patients for vision tests and examinations
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patients with frame selection and lens options
- Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling billing
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an optical setting is essential - please only apply if you have this
- Knowledge of optical laboratory procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with anatomy related to the eye is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
