OPTICAL ASSOCIATE (FULL-TIME POSITION)

We are looking for an experienced optical dispenser to add to our busy optical team. The right candidate will be proficient in all aspects of optical dispensing and have a flair for fashion and sales.

SKILLS NEEDED:

• Proficient in all aspects of dispensing including troubleshooting
• Proficient in adjustments and repairs
• Able to work/ dispense independently without assistance and supervision
• Lively, outgoing personality and love for people.
• Passion for sales and an eye for fashion.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Visual Eyes is an asset but not required.
  Experience: Only candidates selected for phone interview will be contacted. (Opticians licence not required)

Optical:

• Proficient in dispensing, taking measurements and discussing the best lens options for patients. (SV, PALs, Task Specific Lenses)
• Proficient in frame selection with an eye for fashion.
• Proficient in adjustments and repair of eyewear.
• Proficient in troubleshooting eyewear.
• We use Zeiss lenses primarily and on occasion Nikon and Hoya. Familiarity with these lenses is an asset.
• Myopia control: Experience with myopia control lenses is an asset but not required. We will train the right candidate. We use Zeiss, Essilor and Hoya Myopia control lenses.

Reception: Greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, booking appointments and various administrative tasks related to patient care, payment processing and insurance billings.
