We are currently hiring for an Optician to join our ever-growing team of professionals who share our main focus of GREAT PATIENT CARE! The Optician assists the patient with the selection and purchase of eye wear as well as the adjustment and dispensation of the patient eye wear. Maintains inventory control and ensures the proper documentation of optical records (both paper and electronic). The optician also ensures a high prescription capture rate in the practice is maintained. If you are a determined individual and want to learn from the best eye care professionals in the area, then we want to hear from you! Requirements Optician must be able to successfully fit, adjust, repair, and sell eye wear. A minimum of 2 years previous optician experience preferred. Must be ABO certified or willing to obtain (must be certified within 18 months of employment) Optician must be able to successfully fit, adjust, repair, and sell eyewear. Lensometer, pupilometer, and computer skills required. Able to work with and understand insurance benefits and discounts for optical. Answer phone appropriately Courteously greet visitors with a smile Able to purchase, stock, and maintain frame inventory.
