Does this sound like a good fit for you? Optician Dispensing - Licensed and Non-Licensed Provide patient education regarding lens materials, frames, products and designs. Recommend appropriate materials and designs based on patient needs and preferences. The opticians fit patients for eyeglasses, processing orders and following prescriptions from eye doctors as required. You would receive the following benefits: Health, Dental, Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance 401K PTO Paid Vacation Receive all federal holidays off with pay (11 annually) Requirements Must have optical experience Provide exceptional customer service Assess and interpret patient's needs/wants based upon prescription requirements, facial features, lifestyle, and occupation, and suggest most appropriate products (i.e., frames, lens type, coatings) Take necessary measurements (i.e., measuring the patient's pupillary distance) Prepare work order for lab ensuring all pertinent information is listed (i.e., patient information, prescription, lens size/type, measurements, special tinting or coating, etc.) Input customer information into computer system Compute and process payment transactions/refunds Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions as well as policies regarding payment, returns, exchanges Perform other administrative tasks as assigned Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products Create and maintain patient files, following company and HIPAA policies regarding confidentiality. Inspect final product for accuracy; adjust completed glasses to fit patient using pliers, hands and heat, if necessary, to bend frames accordingly Educate patient on how best to care for their glasses Adjust/repair damaged frames, replace nose pads and missing screws Price, stock and straighten merchandise Optical State License (Up to date) Be able to work in a fast-paced environment Be a team player Thank you for your consideration of our Optician openings.
