Smart Shooter is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong capabilities in mechanical and opto-mechanical design for leading development projects, product design, and working in a multi-program, highly multidisciplinary environment. The role includes end-to-end development of mechanical systems, from concept and detailed design through manufacturing, testing, and integration, supporting advanced and complex products in dynamic engineering environments. Responsibilities Design and development of mechanical systems, including mechanisms, opto-mechanics, and miniaturized electronic packaging Lead product development from concept through delivery (detailed design, manufacturing, testing, and customer support) Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electronics, software, systems, and manufacturing Work with suppliers and subcontractors Requirements Requirements B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – mandatory At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design of systems Experience in multidisciplinary companies (defense, medical devices, or semiconductor machinery – not components) – mandatory Experience in opto-mechanical assemblies – significant advantage Experience in mechanism design and motion systems – significant advantage Strong system-level understanding and experience with requirements analysis Knowledge in designing for environmental conditions (thermal management, vibrations, shock) – significant advantage Experience in transferring products from development to production – advantage
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end development of mechanical and opto-mechanical systems from concept through manufacturing and integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to deliver complex fire control systems.
