Description
About us We are a world-leading high-tech company developing maskless nanofabrication systems and characterization solutions. Defined by a dynamic environment that is at the forefront of tomorrow’s technological advances on a global scale, we are seeking challengers ready to shape the future with us. We are looking for individuals who thrive in visionary and collaborative environments, bringing their unique strengths and their passion to make RAITH the innovative force it is. Interested to write the next chapters of our success story together with our 450-strong team? Your mission Translate optical layouts into precision 3D designs, including mounts, housings, alignment mechanisms, and structural components. Ensure all designs satisfy strict requirements for thermal stability, vibration performance, structural integrity, and tolerance analysis. Actively drive the assembly, alignment, testing, and troubleshooting of optomechanical subsystems to achieve system-level performance. Transition prototypes to production by applying DfM/DfA principles to improve reliability, repeatability, and assembly efficiency. Interface with optical, mechanical, electrical, and systems teams to guarantee seamless, coherent subsystem integration. Partner with external suppliers and manufacturing vendors to oversee component realization and resolve fabrication issues. Define testing strategies to validate designs, diagnose performance deviations, and implement corrective actions. Act as the organizational reference for optomechanical engineering, mentoring peers and promoting a ownership-driven, hands-on culture. Your Qualifications MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Mechatronics, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant industry experience (or 5+ years with a PhD in optomechanics). Proven hands-on experience designing, integrating, and implementing mechanical systems from optical layouts (e.g., Zemax, Code V). Proficient in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, or Creo) for precision mechanical design. Solid understanding of optical alignment, tolerancing, error budgeting, thermal stability, and vibration mitigation. Pragmatic problem-solver with a hands-on willingness to work in lab and production environments. Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills; fluent in English (Dutch is a plus). Why us? Work at the forefront of nanofabrication technology, contributing to innovations in research and industry. A collaborative and supportive team environment. Diverse personnel development measures and development prospects in a growing global organization Contact person Kahraman Keskinbora, D&E Manager Are you looking for exactly that?
