Description

Clarity Eyecare is seeking an optometric assistant with experience to join our team. We are looking for a multiskilled individual who can perform reception duties, run diagnostic testing, and assist our patients in selecting eyeglasses. Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills are essential. The position is for 30 to 40 hours per week. We are looking for a long-term commitment as our clinic continues to grow. Strong English language skills are required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of one year optometry assistant experience
  • Quick to learn new skills including an electronic health records system
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written

    Candidates must have experience working at an optometry office or optical.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients to our office, assisting with checking in and checking out
  • Perform diagnostic testing accurately and efficiently
  • Perform reception duties including answering phone calls and emails, sorting incoming faxes and mail, and managing appointment bookings.
  • Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and lifestyle needs
  • Process orders contact lenses, ensuring accuracy in prescription details
  • Ensure accuracy of invoicing and extended benefits submissions
  • Ability to troubleshoot patient concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
