We are currently seeking a Entry Level Optometric Assistant for evenings and weekends to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment. While prior experience in an optical setting is an asset, we are open to training individuals who demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and a genuine interest in patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability
  • Comfortable working in a high intensity, patient-centered environment
  • Previous experience in optical or customer service is an asset, though not required for this role
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and willingness to learn practice management software

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Perform pre-testing and diagnostic screenings
  • Educate patients on eye health and proper eye wear care
  • Support frame selection and lens consultations
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient clinic environment
  • Collaborate effectively with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient experiences

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE IS SPECIFICALLY FOR WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY EVENINGS (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM) AND SATURDAYS (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM). STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.
