Description As an Optometric Assistant, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care in a medical office setting. Reporting to the optometrist, your core responsibilities will include data entry, managing medical records, and assisting with patient intake. Your expertise in optometry, medical terminology, and anatomy will be essential in supporting eye examinations and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. With your premium skills in customer service and optical experience, you will enhance the patient experience while contributing to the efficient operation of our clinic. The following are required of the position:- Work up patients for the doctor on duty by performing a range of basic screening tests to advanced diagnostic tests- Be able to take direct instructions from the doctors- Positive, friendly and energetic personality both in person and on the phone- Ability to multi-task in an active and fast paced environment- Very comfortable entering data into the computer quickly and accurately-Ability to keep the office organized, neat and clean- Comfortable working one-on-one with patients- Extremely punctual, reliable and responsible- Professional attitude- Detail oriented- Quick learner- Self motivated Note: We are willing to train the right self motivated individual!
