Currently, our growing team is looking for an Optometric Assistant who can work with us on a permanent, full-time basis at our LMC clinic in Vaughan.
The Optometric Assistant supports our Eye Care clinic and Optometrists.

REQUIREMENTS:

 One year experience in an optical setting
 High School or College Graduate
 Ophthalmic Assistant diploma preferred
 Excellent verbal and communication skills
 Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and caring, outgoing personality
 Customer service experience is essential
 Must be proficient with computers and monetary transactions
 Able to follow directions and take personal responsibility for actions
 Must demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
 Ability to work independently and in a team
 Fashionable professional attire
 Passion for learning and dealing with people
 Able to follow through on tasks with attention to detail
 Able to multitask

Responsibilities

Help customers find the best and most suitable products that meet their needs
Take measurements, fit, adjust, repair & dispense eyeglasses, contact lenses
Conduct pretest procedures on patients to help make eye appointments more efficient
Facilitate patient referrals to other health care professionals
Work in partnership with an Optometrist to serve the needs of your clients
Work in collaboration with your team members to maximize store profits
Meet and exceed optical sales targets
