Job Title: Optometric Assistant – Pretesting Patients
Location: Panorama Optometry–Surrey BC
Job Type: Part-time and lead to Full-time
About Us:

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Optometric Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring patients are prepared for their eye exams by completing all pretesting procedures accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for their eye exams
  • Perform pretesting procedures including autorefraction, non-contact tonometry (NCT), retinal imaging, visual field screening and more
  • Accurately input patient data and update electronic health records
  • Educate patients about the testing process and answer general inquiries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pretest area and equipment
  • Support front desk or clinical tasks when needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in optometry or healthcare is an asset but not required – we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new systems and equipment

  • Monday to Saturday availability preferred
