OVERVIEW

We are a busy family practice optometry clinic in View Royal, B.C., seeking a team member to join us for Saturday shifts (9:00am-5:00pm). This is an ideal position for students and/or those interested in studying optometry in the future and building their experience in this field.
We aim above all to be a safe place where everyone is welcome and treated as the person they are. We are an inclusive clinic that prides ourselves on providing high quality care, and maintaining a fun work atmosphere. Our team includes our office dog Leia, who works at least one Saturday a month, and loves making new friends.

SKILLS

  • Customer service and people skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Digital literacy- knowledge of the software program VisualEyes a plus but not necessary.
  • Ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $20.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 8 per week

Responsibilities
  • Answering phones and emails, scheduling appointments for patients, recalling patients for annual examinations, making reminder calls for upcoming appointments.
  • Cleaning the clinic (cleaning duties shared amongst all team members).
  • Assisting patients with choosing eyeglass frames and ophthalmic lenses.
  • Ordering and dispensing frames and lenses.
  • Adjusting patient frames.
  • Creating invoices, taking payments, and running insurance for patients.
