We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and support within our optometry practice. You will assist with various tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation while delivering a positive experience for our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a medical office or optical setting is preferred.
• Strong front desk skills with an emphasis on patient care and customer service.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry is advantageous.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems, particularly OD Office, is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.

• Greet and check in patients at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments and managing their records.
• Conduct preliminary testing and gather patient history to assist the optometrist.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as OD Office
• Educate patients on proper contact lens care.
• Handle retail sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless patient experience throughout their visit.
