Full job description

Summit Eyecare Centre is looking for a full time receptionist/optometric assistant immediately at our busy, professional eye care clinic. We are a caring, patient-focused work family and have been serving Kamloops since 1988. We have recently moved to a brand new location!

The successful candidate will encompass the following characteristics:

-self-motivated problem solver

-multi-task efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced office environment

-clearly communicate with our patients in person and by phone and email

-provide a positive and professional attitude towards patients and staff

-reliable and punctual

-maintain patient and office confidentiality without exception

Job description includes:

-Reception duties such as booking appointments, taking payments and other office assistant responsibilities

-Pretesting of patients using our advanced medical instruments (we will provide training for this)

We offer $19 starting wage (negotiable with relevant experience). We also offer an employee health benefit package, staff bonus, work clothing allowance and free parking. This will be a full-time position (but must be available to work on Saturdays if needed).
