Pay: From $17.20/hour
Are you someone who loves creating a warm, welcoming environment and making people feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door? Do you thrive in a busy, patient-centered clinic where every day is different? If you have experience in optometry or a healthcare front desk setting, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re a modern, full-scope optometry clinic in the growing town of Shelburne, featuring an in-house Dry Eye Spa and a strong focus on personalized, compassionate care. We’re looking for an Optometric Assistant who will be the friendly, organized face of our front desk — someone who enjoys helping people, keeps things running smoothly, and works well as part of a close-knit team.

Your primary role will be at the front desk: greeting patients, verifying information, answering phones, managing appointments, and handling direct billing. You’ll also support the flow of the clinic by confirming appointments, responding to inquiries, and assisting with administrative tasks.
In addition, you’ll be trained to assist with preliminary testing procedures (such as auto-refraction, OCT, visual fields, etc.), and help with glasses adjustments and minor repairs as needed.

SOME OF YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS MIGHT INCLUDE

  • Greeting patients and checking them in for their appointments
  • Booking, confirming, and rescheduling appointments
  • Verifying patient information and direct billing
  • Answering phones and assisting patients with questions or concerns
  • Assisting with preliminary testing procedures (such as auto-refraction, OCT, visual fields, etc.)

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic space
