We are seeking a super friendly, self-motivated Optometric Assistant to join our team! This role is ideal for someone passionate about customer service and interested in a career in eye care. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing an excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrist with various procedures, such as measuring intraocular pressure and administering eye drops.
- Conduct diagnostic tests, such as retinal imaging and visual field testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records using the EMR system.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
- Assist with frame selection and sales of eyeglasses and products.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a optometry setting.
- Comfortable with selling.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional patient care.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to problem solve day to day issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Proficiency in using optical equipment, such as autorefractors, tonometers, and OCT.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with optometrists and other staff members.
