Description Sight Partners is a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice located in the Pacific Northwest, Idaho, and Alaska. We are searching for a part-time Optometric Physician to add to our growing team. This position will be in our Coeur d'Alene location. Responsibilities: Provide Professional Optometric Services and conduct professional duties by all applicable laws (State and Federal). Ability to work closely and collaborate with our medical staff. Collaborate with community optometrists and other medical professionals to optimize the delivery of high-quality eye care. Attend continuing education and training to enhance professional growth and development. Maintaining accurate records on a timely basis. Observing and adhering to all reasonable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Sight Partners is now in force. Analyze a patient's medical history, medication allergies, physical condition, and examination results to determine the best procedure. Order tests for nurses and other healthcare staff to perform. Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments such as diets and antibiotics. Review test results to identify any abnormal findings. Address concerns or answer patients' questions about their health and well-being. Any other duties as assigned. Requirements Licensed with the Idaho State Board of Optometry. Diagnostic and therapeutic license certification. Comprehensive post-graduate experience is desirable in a medical setting. Knowledge should include, but not be limited to, surgical post-operative management, anterior and posterior ocular segment disease, glaucoma, ocular trauma, and neurologic diseases. Demonstrate interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. One (1) to Two (2) plus years of experience managing medical eye conditions or successful completion of an ACOE-accredited residency program. Education and Experience: Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree. Active license, or ability to obtain an active license, to practice optometry in state of Idaho. DEA Certification.
