We are currently seeking a Medical Optometrist to join our collaborative, patient-focused team. You’ll work side-by-side with ophthalmologists in a modern clinical environment, practicing to the full scope of your licensure. Requirements What You’ll Do Provide comprehensive optometric services to a diverse patient population. Collaborate with our ophthalmologists to co-manage surgical and medical patients. Evaluate and manage a wide range of ocular conditions including: Post-operative care Glaucoma Anterior/posterior segment disease Ocular trauma Neuro-ophthalmic disorders Conduct thorough medical histories and develop personalized treatment plans. Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventative care. Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. Eligibility for Alaska State Optometry licensure. 1–2+ years of medical optometry experience, or successful completion of an ACOE-accredited residency program. Previous experience in a medically focused setting is strongly preferred. A commitment to excellence in patient care and collaboration.
