About the Role: We are seeking a highly passionate and skilled Optometrist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As an Optometrist at CARE INC, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive eye care services to our patients. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or a new graduate, we welcome you to be part of our mission to improve vision health and enhance lives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree or equivalent
  • Current license as a practicing optometrist in the province of Alberta
  • Experience in eye exams, diagnosis, and management of ocular diseases
  • Proficiency in prescribing eyewear and/or contact lenses
  • Excellent patient communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and software necessary for proper eye exams
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough eye examinations, including visual acuity, refraction, and ocular health assessments
  • Diagnose and manage eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
  • Detect and manage eye diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
  • Collaborate with our team of opticians, technicians, and administrative staff
  • Educate patients on proper eye health, hygiene, and preventive measures
