Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring an Optometry Assistant to our team! Ideal candidate would be an excellent multi-tasker who thrives in a fast paced environment. Must have excellent customer service skills. Job Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides medical assistance to the clinic Optometrist. Responsible for greeting and checking in patients into the optometry clinic when needed. Reviews the optometry appointment schedule and schedules as needed. Orders, dispenses and adjusts eyeglasses for patients; interprets eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions. Responsible for completing and following up on consults made to outside providers. Prepares examination and treatment rooms; cleans and maintains ophthalmic instruments. Performs basic routine vision screening examinations as well as special testing.
