Job Summary The OR Assistant is responsible for transporting of patients, specimens/blood, instruments/equipment/supplies as needed to assigned locations. Responsible for restocking surgical suites and support areas and disinfection of operating rooms and equipment as needed. Identifies and reports situations that require intervention to the Operations Supervisor. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. H.S. diploma or G.E.D. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

The OR Assistant is responsible for transporting patients, specimens, instruments, and supplies to assigned locations. They also restock surgical suites and disinfect operating rooms and equipment as needed.
