JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an acute care setting is preferred, with familiarity in operating rooms (OR) being highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the surgical team.
  • Experience with suturing techniques is advantageous, particularly in pediatrics or emergency medicine environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment.
    Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
    Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (09:00 - 21:00)

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready for use.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by passing instruments and providing necessary support.
  • Utilize basic life support techniques as needed to ensure patient safety.
  • Collect data and maintain accurate records related to surgical procedures and patient care.
  • Follow established protocols for aseptic technique to prevent infections.
  • Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments post-procedure.
  • Collaborate with team members in an ambulatory surgery center setting to provide optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay informed about advancements in surgical techniques and technologies relevant to the role.
