JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The OR Tech II is a non-licensed skilled and experienced person who is responsible under the direct supervision of a registered nurse for selected tasks in the administration of patient care within the C/S and /or operating room suite. The OR Tech II Reports to Registered Nurse on each case and the Clinical Manager and the Director of Surgical Services. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!

  • Assists with surgical procedures in scrub duties
  • Assists in the orientation, training, and education of new personnel
  • Assists in maintaining safe and aseptic environment for all patients
  • Performs all related duties as assigned and directed
  • Facilitates the provision of individualized patient care

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School graduate required or equivalent, college prepared preferred
  • Completion of OR Tech course from an accredited school
  • Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
  • Precept new employees and students
  • Three years training or experience in multiple specialties in acute care facility
  • Able to perform 80% of procedures
  • Participate in an administrative approved projects with at least one of those projects being an employee identified project
  • Actively participates in preference card edits
  • Current BLS certification
