Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Oracle Applications Engineer to work for our company.

SUMMARY:

  • Client Agency is Defense Logistics Agency.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Designs, develops, modifies, and maintains advanced technical solutions within the Oracle EBS R12.x environment (specifically R12.2.5 or higher) and its underlying database.
  • Creates and customizes RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Extensions, Forms Personalization, Workflow) and CEMLI objects using Oracle Apps Forms, Oracle Developer 2000, PL/SQL, Java, OAF, Workflow Builder, and XML Publisher.
  • Implements and supports data and application integrations using various methods including Open Interface tables, APIs, EAI tools, BPEL, AQ, EDI, REST API, SOAP, and SOA.
  • Utilizes advanced programming skills in Oracle PL/SQL, including Stored Procedures, Constraints, Joins, Keys, Indexes, Data Import/Export, Triggers, Cursors, and SQL Loader.
  • Applies hands-on programming skills in Java/J2EE, REST API, and SOAP.
  • Analyzes functional requirements to create/modify system and service architectures and designs, and write detailed technical design documents and unit test scripts with an excellent command of the English language.
  • Provides technical expertise for Oracle EBS functional modules and process flows, applying knowledge of DoD and Federal Business processes.
  • Conducts thorough code reviews and design evaluations, providing expert guidance on best practices to enhance code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement aimed at enhancing stability and efficiency across the system.
  • Minimizes operational downtime for critical maintenance by expediting the deployment of approved changes, fixes, updates, and solutions.
  • Implements automation for manual maintenance tasks, deployment processes, diagnostic health checks, validation procedures, and reporting to ensure swift and efficient operations.
  • Collaborates with vendor technical support, enterprise system administration teams, and project development staff for seamless COTS/SaaS integrations.
  • Writes and maintains robust unit, functional, and integration tests, supporting automation in a continuous integration environment.
  • Continuously advances the application platform to align with scaling, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Possesses expertise in relevant Government departments (such as DoD) and program environments (such as the DAI federal shared service environment).
  • Works with Unix/Linux environments related to Oracle EBS operations.
  • Possess working knowledge of the Oracle Service Request (SR) process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Must have 7+ years’ years of experience in a relevant technical role, specifically with Oracle EBS development and support.
  • Must have experience supporting DoD or Federal Oracle shared service providers on an Oracle EBS R12.2 platform or higher is required.
  • Must have advanced computer programming skills in Oracle EBS technologies, including extensive hands-on experience with Oracle EBS RICEFW/CEMLI development.
  • Must have experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL, including advanced PL/SQL constructs.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, OAF customizations, and Workflow Builder.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS integration methods (Open Interface tables, APIs, EAI, BPEL, AQ, EDI) and web services (REST, SOAP, SOA).
  • Experience analyzing functional requirements and writing detailed technical design documentation.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and design evaluations.
  • Experience implementing automation for maintenance and deployment tasks is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with Government departments (DoD) and program environments (DAI federal shared service environment). Working knowledge of DoD and Federal Business processes.
  • Must have an excellent command of the English language, with proven ability to write sound design documents and unit test scripts.
  • Must be proficient with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Oracle Service Request (SR) process.
