Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Applications Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for the administration, management, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments.

The ideal candidate will ensure the high availability, performance, and security of Oracle applications, databases, and underlying infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, apply patches, and maintain system integrity while implementing best practices for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.

  • Oracle E-Business Suite Administration: Manage and administer Oracle E-Business Suite (R12 or later), including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and cloning.
  • Database Management: Administer Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, 19c), ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and security.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup strategies, perform regular backups, and ensure quick recovery from failures using RMAN or other tools.
  • Patching and Upgrades: Apply Oracle patches (including CPU and PSU patches) and perform EBS upgrades in both test and production environments.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize system performance, including database tuning, application tuning, and query optimization.
  • Security Management: Implement security best practices, including database security, encryption, user management, and role-based access control.
  • Cloning: Perform EBS cloning (copying production environment to test environments) for development and testing purposes.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to Oracle EBS, middleware, and database, providing root cause analysis and solutions.
