REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Oracle ERP Architect, ideally within Oracle Cloud HCM
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and systems in large organisations
  • Experience in end-to-end ERP implementations, including design, configuration, testing, and deployment
  • Familiarity with UK rail industry or transport sector HR challenges is desirable
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Technology, or related field
  • Oracle certifications such as Oracle Cloud HCM Implementation Specialist is preferred
  • Ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in agile and waterfall environments with strong documentation and presentation skills

ABOUT THE ROLE

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an Oracle Architect to work for our client within the transport sector. This is initially a 6-12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London or York.
Our client is seeking an Oracle ERP HR Architect, who will lead the design and implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM solutions across the business’s HR landscape. You’ll work closely with HR, IT, and external partners to ensure the architecture aligns with business goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term scalability. This is a strategic role focused on modernising HR operations through Oracle ERP capabilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the architectural design of Oracle Cloud HCM modules including Core HR, Talent Management, Payroll, and Workforce Compensation
  • Translate and transform HR business requirements into scalable Oracle ERP solutions
  • Govern and define integration strategies between Oracle ERP and other enterprise systems such as payroll, finance and recruitment platforms
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, UK employment law, and industry-specific regulations are met
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to optimise workflows and user experience
  • Oversee and provide governance during the implementation phases, including vendor management
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation, roadmaps, and standards
  • Support change management and training initiatives related to Oracle ERP adoption
