Start date for assignment: ASAP
Duration of assignment: 6 months contract + long term cooperation
Workload: Fulltime
Location: Bucharest, Romania - Fully remote with some travel required to Bucharest, Romania or to Copenhagen, DK some time.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be responsible for providing deep technical expertise in the deployment, and management of Oracle OCI services. This role involves collaborating with technical teams, and stakeholders to implement, and optimize cloud solutions on OCI. The SME will ensure that cloud environments are secure, scalable, and cost-effective, while providing technical leadership and hands-on support in OCI-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as technical expert for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, providing advisory, consulting, and hands-on implementation.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and system administrators to design and implement OCI solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Ensure OCI environments are secure, cost-effective, and adhere to best practices for availability, disaster recovery, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain OCI-related documentation including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, best practices, and technical configurations.
- Perform assessments of current cloud environments, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend optimization strategies to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Stay updated on the latest OCI features, services, and best practices, ensuring that all implementations follow up-to-date Oracle guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to OCI infrastructure, networking, security, and applications.
- Provide mentorship and training to internal teams on OCI technologies, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications (e.g., OCI Architect, OCI Operations, OCI Migrations Associate) are highly preferred.
- Deep expertise in OCI services including compute, storage, networking, security, database services (Oracle Base DB), identity management and landing zone configuration.
- Experience in cloud security, monitoring, automation, and cost optimization on OCI.
- Proven experience with hybrid cloud architectures and cloud migration strategies.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Nice to have: Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
Preferred Skills:
- Oracle Database expertise, including management, optimization, and performance tuning in cloud environments.
- Proven experience in data migration strategies, tools, and execution for migrating workloads to OCI.
- Oracle Linux system administration skills, including setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure) and onpremise.
- Familiarity with Oracle enterprise applications and databases in cloud environments.
Work Environment:
- Full-time, fully-remote on project requirements.
- Occasional travel may be required for client engagements or team meetings.
