Description
Conduent is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) who’ll participate with the day-to-day operational aspects of application and infrastructure delivery. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert regarding the application of business objectives and alternatives for database administration. Your responsibilities will also include establishing operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments as appropriate.  Provide senior management with reviews/objectives to determine the success of operation/project. The successful incumbent will be Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations(s) and may also have company-wide effect. Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: * Perform physical and logical database administration functions as required for Application Sustain Services. * Knowledge on Oracle Exadata Cloud at Customer architecture. * Work with Customer and other Third Parties (Application, Architects, ITO personnel, tester etc.) to support DBA functions. * Provide appropriate resources and skill sets to support the DBA functions for the Applications as required. * Assist in analyzing, performance tuning and maintaining test and production databases. * Review with Customer new Database Management System (DBMS) releases to understand the business and technical impacts. * Set up and maintain test and production databases. * Propose database changes to ease monitoring and administrative effort. * Document and implement changes to databases via proper Change Management methodology. * Monitor and analyze database activity to proactively identify and prevent potential Incidents and also recommend improvements. * Participate in situation management of incidents related to database operations. * Test and evaluate impact on Applications of new DBMS Software releases. * Ensure integrity of all database components, e.g.: Table definitions, structure definitions, statistics and indexes status etc. * Report and remediate all security violations. * Familiar with tuning utilities and reports. For example, AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQLT, SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL tracing and analysis, database event tracing etc. * Familiar with Oracle CPU and PSU patching procedure.  Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. * 8+ years of experience as a DBA with Oracle databases. * Installation, configuration, design and troubleshooting Oracle Real Application Clusters. * Moderate knowledge on Linux administration on activities like creating and managing users at OS level, patching Exadata Cloud Machine OS servers, evaluating OS performance. * Knowledge on Unix shell scripting to automate database and OS activities. * Plan and support the migration of standalone databases into Oracle Exadata Cluster at Customer machines using Goldengate, RMAN. * Able to install, configure OEM 13C on High availability solutions, manage agent deployments and monitor Exadata targets from Oracle cloud control 12c/13C. * Basic understanding on networking, switching, routing, etc.  * Able to work under pressure and take responsibility during situation management. * Agree to work independently and manage time and deliverable. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
