REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
  • Hands-on expertise with Multitenant Oracle databases and advanced Oracle security.
  • Strong background in database performance tuning, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery strategies.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments as they relate to database administration.
  • Solid understanding of database design, logical and physical modeling, and enterprise data management.
Responsibilities

ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR, CONTRACT ROLE (HYBRID, LANSING MICHIGAN)

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator for a long-term contract engagement. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to support critical systems for a large-scale environment while contributing to projects that impact enterprise-level operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases to ensure performance, security, and reliability.
  • Oversee database design, data modeling, prototyping, and performance tuning.
  • Implement and manage database security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with application teams to support integration, data integrity, and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage Oracle environments, including High Availability (HA) configuration, Data Guard, RMAN backup/recovery, and GoldenGate replication.
  • Execute physical and logical database modeling, maintain data dictionaries, and establish database standards.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements across environments.
  • Work within Unix/Linux environments to support enterprise database requirements.
