JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a mid-level Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in San Juan, PR. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience managing and administering relational databases, with solid expertise in Oracle and familiarity with other database technologies such as SQL Server and MySQL. This role involves supporting database operations, ensuring performance, reliability, and security of our data systems.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle database administration
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server and/or MySQL a plus
  • Strong SQL scripting and performance tuning skills
  • Knowledge of backup, recovery, and security strategies for database systems
  • Ability to work on-site in the Metro Area of San Juan, PR
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle databases and other relational database systems (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning recommendations
  • Manage database backup and recovery strategies
  • Assist with data migration, ETL processes, and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
