Role Title: Oracle Database Administrator

Location: Sydney CBD

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6-Month Contract with high possibility of extension

Working Flexibility: Hybrid (2 days onsite)

NTT Data is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support secure, highly available enterprise database environments. You will be responsible for database administration, performance optimisation, patching, upgrades, backup and recovery activities, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting production changes within a highly governed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimisation activities.
• Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN configurations and support.
• Execute backup, recovery, patching, and database upgrade activities.
• Monitor database health and proactively troubleshoot issues.
• Support production deployments, changes, and incident resolution.
• Work closely with infrastructure and application teams in a governed enterprise environment.

Skills & Experience

• Strong previous experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN.
• Strong capability in database performance tuning and SQL troubleshooting.
• Experience undertaking backup, recovery, patching, and upgrade activities.
• Exposure to Linux/Unix operating environments.
• Experience supporting critical enterprise or government environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
