SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Oracle DBA Architect SME to join our Cloud One team to manage Government A-1 DTA VDC projects. This Air Force Program is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure that hosts mission systems, applications, services, and data in support of DoW Services and Agencies. The Oracle DBA Architect will join an established team of engineers at an expert level with skills in database design, performance tuning and infrastructure architecture in a multi cloud environment. This position will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise level database solutions with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Database PL/SQL. On-Call critical support may be required for after-hours support. The candidate will collaborate with the customer to determine root cause analysis and corrective actions. This position is 100%25 remote. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Oracle DBA Architect expert designing scalable, secure and high-performing architectures in a cloud environment. Will serve as the technical OCI DBA expert in PL/SQL development. Will design and implement integration and database architectures using OCI, and Oracle Database for multi-cloud applications. Will design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, and workflows to support contract needs and requirements. Will conduct proactive database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to ensure system reliability. Will collaborate with established teams to design and implement solutions for Oracle SCM modules, ensuring data consistency. Will apply best practices for database and integration security, authentication, and encryption in compliance with Department of Defense standards. Will troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and database issues across OCI, OIC, and on-prem environments. Will mentor and share technical direction to developers and integration teams. Will maintain clear and detailed architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and design standards. REQUIRE QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. US Citizenship Active Security + or higher IAT II Certification (or equivalent), or ability to obtain IAT Level II within 30 days of start date. Active Secret level clearance. Excellent hands-on experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment. Excellent understanding of design patterns, error handling, and best practice security protocols in a DoD environment. Experience supporting DoD cloud or software development projects. Experience troubleshooting and debugging database layers. Proficient in Unix/Linux shell scripting, Python, Perl, power shell, for automation tasks. Experience designing and implementing complex backup and recovery strategies for availability and disaster recovery. Excellent hands-on experience translating contract requirements into secure and reliable database architecture. Hands on experience with Database tools to include: SQL, SQL Command Line, SQL Developer Data Modeler, Profiler, Query, Oracle DB Developer, ODM, BigData, Kafka, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, SolarWinds. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Oracle Certified Professional or Oracle Certified Master Certification. AWS Cloud Certification.
