Description

This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the posted levels grade 14 or 15, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise. The Oracle DBA is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the database structures. Conducts analysis, creates system specifications, develops, tests and implements engineering, scientific and business applications, operating systems, and file/database servers. Utilizes existing or new technology in the automation of processes. Evaluates software packages and provides recommendations to management. Location Options: This position may be based at one of the following Berkshire Hathaway Energy locations: Des Moines, IA and Las Vegas, NV MidAmerican Energy Company, a Midwest utility, provides regulated electric and natural gas service to more than 1.6 million customers in Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Responsibilities

The Oracle DBA is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of database structures, conducting analysis, creating system specifications, and developing, testing, and implementing various applications and operating systems. They will also utilize new technology for process automation and evaluate software packages, providing recommendations to management.
