POSITION OVERVIEW:

AIU is looking for a skilled Oracle Developer and Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain the university’s Oracle database systems while designing custom applications. This hybrid role requires a professional adept at both database administration and development to ensure optimal performance, security, and functionality.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA and Developer with expertise in database administration and development.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle tools such as RMAN and Data Pump.
• Experience with database security protocols and backup/recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with Oracle APEX, Forms, and Reports is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Database Management, or a related field.

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle database systems to ensure reliability and security.
• Develop and implement efficient database solutions using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to maintain performance standards.
• Design, develop, and test Oracle-based applications to meet business requirements.
• Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies to safeguard institutional data.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and ensure system integrity.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and end-users to integrate databases with existing applications.
• Document all database structures, configurations, and procedures.
