Description
KPMG Ignition Tax in the United States partners with KPMG Global Services (KGS) to deliver Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Service (TRCS) and the broader Oracle EPM suite. As a non-client-facing Senior Associate, you will focus on hands-on configuration, data integration, and quality assurance—bringing together TRCS, Financial Close (FCCS), and Oracle’s integration toolset (Data Exchange, Data Management, EPM Integration Agent, Oracle Integration Cloud, REST / SOAP APIs). You will work primarily with U.S. engagement teams, translating functional tax requirements into robust, scalable technical designs that follow KPMG Powered Enterprise and Oracle OUM/ACT delivery standards.   Key Responsibilities 1. Oracle EPM Build & Configuration • Configure TRCS tax automation, hierarchies, security, and workflow. • Build calculation scripts, business rules, and member formulas (Essbase).  2. End-to-End Data & System Integration • Design and deploy integrations using Oracle Data Exchange, Data Management / FDMEE, EPM Integration Agent, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). • Develop and maintain REST / SOAP API calls, EPM Automate scripts, and scheduled jobs for continuous data flows. • Map and transform data from multiple ERPs (Oracle ERP Cloud, SAP, Workday, etc.) into TRCS / FCCS tax and finance models.  3. Solution Design Support • Convert Functional Design Documents into detailed Technical Design Documents that cover data mappings, integration specs, and control points. • Ensure traceability from ASC 740 and tax-provision requirements through to configuration and reporting.  4. Testing & Quality Assurance • Author unit, SIT, and performance test scripts; execute tests and log defects in JIRA. • Manage migration artifacts (Dev → Test → Prod) via Lifecycle Management (LCM) and OIC pipelines; capture evidence for SOX & KPMG QA reviews.  5. Documentation & Knowledge Management • Produce configuration workbooks, integration run-books, and user guides. • Contribute reusable integration templates and lessons learned to KPMG’s global EPM knowledge base.  6. Collaboration & Mentoring • Participate in daily U.S. / India stand-ups; provide progress updates, raise blockers, and manage time-zone hand-offs. • Coach junior team members on Oracle EPM and integration best practices.   Daily Activities • Configure dimensions, data forms, integrations, and security in TRCS / Data Exchange. • Run and troubleshoot data loads; reconcile tax balances and address data exceptions. • Update RAID items in JIRA / ServiceNow and participate in design walkthroughs and peer reviews. • Automate integration jobs and monitor schedules, ensuring data is available for tax close cycles.
Responsibilities
The consultant will configure Oracle EPM solutions, specifically TRCS and FCCS, while managing complex data integrations across multiple ERP systems. They are responsible for technical design, quality assurance, and providing ongoing support for tax reporting and financial close processes.
