About the Role:
We are looking for a proficient Oracle ETL Developer to join our team, which specializes in technology expense management, reporting, and dashboard solutions using Apptio and Oracle technologies. This position is central to a key strategic initiative: migrating our IT portfolio data warehouse from an on-premise SQL Server environment to Oracle Cloud. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building new integrations, porting existing business logic, and providing support for the new cloud-based data warehouse upon launch.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and OCI Data Integrator.
* Create and manage data integration pipelines with OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud), interfacing with diverse sources including cloud databases, on-prem systems, REST APIs, and flat files.
* Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
* Support the full migration lifecycle of ETL processes from our legacy on-premise systems to the Oracle Cloud platform.
* Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and perform performance tuning on ODI jobs, ETL processes, and database code.
* Develop and upkeep comprehensive technical documentation for all solutions and processes.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in a similar ETL development role.
* Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but equivalent combination of experience and skills will be considered.
* Demonstrated, hands-on expertise in developing and administering Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
* Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for complex query writing, data manipulation, and optimization.
* Practical experience deploying and managing ETL solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) PaaS/IaaS.
* In-depth knowledge of ETL methodologies, data warehousing principles, and cloud-based data integration.
* Proven experience building integrations between on-premise and cloud-based data sources.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
