Job Description This role is an excellent opportunity for a developer with more than 4 years’ experience in PL/SQL development to apply their analytical skills while working with product owners, cross-disciplinary teams and QA to deliver high-quality functional solutions. The role involves a number of responsibilities including: Managing project source code and documentation Developing and maintaining packages for background processing and reports Developing and maintaining reports using PL/SQL, OAP and APEX Providing ad hoc reports using SQL and PL/SQL Analysing and resolving database issues Advising on Oracle features and best practices Knowledge of Oracle’s spatial extensions would be beneficial due to a geospatial component in the project. Knowledge of APEX and OAP would also be beneficial. Qualifications Essential requirements 4+ years’ Oracle PL/SQL Developer experience Good understanding of code version management and code promotion practices in an enterprise environment Good knowledge of source control tools Effective communication (written and oral), interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills Experience with effort estimation and requirements gathering Database tuning and performance monitoring skills Understanding of data modelling and database design Familiarity with preparing and maintaining technical documentation Desirable experience Completion of an Oracle Professional Certification Familiarity with unit testing and continuous integration Knowledge of APEX and OAP Additional Information At Version 1, we believe in providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that prioritises their wellbeing, professional growth, and financial stability.
