About the Role In the position of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions related to the mouth, jaws, and face. This includes performing surgical procedures such as tooth extractions, jaw realignment surgeries, and facial reconstructive surgeries. You will work closely with a team of healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes through comprehensive care. Responsibilities Assess patients’ oral and facial health through examinations and medical history reviews. Formulate and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Execute various surgical techniques, including but not limited to dentoalveolar surgeries, jaw surgeries, and trauma management. Diagnose conditions such as oral infections, tumors, and congenital deformities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated patient management. Offer thorough post-operative care and follow-up evaluations to support recovery. Participate in professional development and staying current with advancements in surgical practices. Medical degree (MD or DMD) and completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. Extensive experience in performing a broad spectrum of surgical procedures. In-depth knowledge of surgical techniques and patient care management in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Strong understanding of oral anatomy, pathology, and surgery methodologies. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams. Attention to detail and the ability to handle complex surgical cases. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate surgical challenges.
